Smart 2 is an integrated interferometric+confocal measuring head, and surface measurement is an important measurement technology when customers have high requirements for lateral resolution, accuracy, and repeatability standards.

A genuine surface measurement system

Smart 2 is a surface measurement system. Unlike point or line measurement, surface measurement means it can image the entire area at once, thus maintaining consistent lateral resolution in both the X and Y directions. In addition, our regional measurements can be traced back to calibration samples certified by national measurement agencies such as PTB, NPL, or NIST.

The performance you will expect to see
In order to scan and image samples with different features, the Smart 2 is equipped with three techniques in the same measuring head: Ai multifocal overlay, confocal, and interferometric measurement.

Easy to install and connect
The shape of the integrated head has been carefully designed to improve the adaptability of the system. Compared to earlier models, its design is narrower, allowing the integrated head to not interfere with users or manufacturing operations.

The design of Smart 2 is very easy to integrate, with all electronic devices including the computing core inside the measuring head, making the installation of the Sensofar system never so simple. Smart 2 only has two interfaces: Ethernet cable and power supply.
